Description: Luristan, ca. 1000 to 600 BCE. This is a pair of deep, thin, cast bronze bowls, made with the lost wax casting process. One has a smooth body and a slightly pronounced foot; the other has a series of inset bands around its body, with a flat base and slightly flared rim. Both would have been placed in graves to hold libations or other offerings. Size of largest: 4.9" W x 2.75" H (12.4 cm x 7 cm)

Condition Report: Both are slightly misshapen from age because of their thinness; the larger one has a very slight, stable crack to the rim. Both have deep green patinas and some dirt encrustation.
