Notes

Jan Snoeck worked in the studio of sculptor Ossip Zadkine in Paris between 1954 - 1956 (source: RKD). He moved from sculpting to working with clay, and became well-known for his colourful objects in public space. This massive bowl shows the same characteristics of Snoeck's work: bright colours, large scale and playfulness.
