Created during the preparation of the exhibition 'Heart of darkness', Kröller-Müller Museum, Otterlo, 1994. Cai Guo-Qiang is one of the most important contemporary artists worldwide, and his gunpowder drawings are his most recognizable works. Using explosives as a means of artistic creation Cai Guo-Qiang re-thinks their primary destructive power and helps us to deal with the terror of bombings and shootings.
