Endangered Species and CITES Permits:
Pasadena Antique Warehouse, Inc. adheres to the California and Federal laws pertaining to the sale of items containing endangered or protected species, and WILL NOT ACCEPT LIABILITY of items that may include any material such as ivory, rhinoceros horn, tortoise shell, coral, endangered woods, and whalebone. In the event an item is found to contain any amount of these products, it is the SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER to perform their due diligence and acknowledge any laws and regulations that apply to purchasing, importation and exportation laws.
Certain property sold at auction such as Huanghuali, Huali, ivory, rhinoceros horn, tortoise shell, coral or whalebone, irrespective of age or value, may require a certificate or license before exportation and additional certificates or licenses upon importation to another country. Pasadena Antique Warehouse suggests that buyers check on their government import requirements before placing a bid. It is the buyers responsibility to obtain any export or import certificates and/or licenses as well as any other required documentation. In the case of denial of any export or import license or of delay in the obtaining of such licenses, the purchaser is still responsible for making on-time payment of the total purchase price for the lot.

Although licenses can be obtained to export some types of endangered species, other types of endangered species may not be exported at all, and other types may not be resold in the United States. Upon request, Pasadena Antique Warehouse is willing to assist the purchaser in attempting to get the appropriate certificates and/or licenses. However, there is no assurance that an export certificate can be obtained. Please check with third party shippers if you are uncertain about whether a lot is subject to these export/import certificate and license requirements, or any other restrictions on exportation.

Please also note that it is the purchaser's own responsibility to identify and obtain any necessary export, import, firearm, endangered species or other permit for the lot. Any notices in the sale catalogue reflect Pasadena Antique Warehouse reasonable opinion at the time of cataloguing and are for bidders' general guidance only. Pasadena Antique Warehouse makes no representations or warranties as to whether any lot is or is not subject to export or import restrictions.

This is the second edition of mon.o.logue, which will be an ongoing auction happening every 3-4 months. The first 50 paintings in this auction are created by Ukrainian artists and curated by Silvana Gallery. In collaboration with Silvana Gallery, we will be showcasing these works in order to support Ukrainian artists during these difficult times and we're providing them with an opportunity to share their creations. The message of our auction is to support individual artist growth as well as to create a dialogue between creatives and potential buyers. We work hard to make sure we provide a price that's fair for bidders, artists, and collectors. Have any feedback? We'd love to hear from you! Unlike other auction houses, we're a family run operation and work to provide a more personalized experience. This isn't going to be your typical auction. Since we will be taking bids from 2 different auction sites as well as phone bidding through our YouTube live stream, this will be a more relaxed and slow-paced auction environment. Since we're a small operation, please bear with us as we work hard to make sure you receive the best service possible. Creating a hassle free environment to purchase these works is our top priority. We have no hidden fees or buyer's premium; the price you see is the price you'll pay (tax and shipping / handling costs may vary). If you ever want to part with a piece purchased from one of our auctions, we offer a co-signing service to help find another home for your art.
