This sale features several illustrated artworks by the “Big 5” artists comprising the “Soweto School of Art” group. This includes works by Winston Saoli (1950-1995), David Mbele (1940-2010), Speelman Mahlangu (1958-2007), Peter Sibeko (1940-2013) and the late Eli Kobeli (1937-1999). We have endeavoured to include work representing the full scope of the artist’s choice of media, historical works as well as period specific artworks. These works are highly collectable and sought after by corporate, institutional as well as private collectors. We have furthermore supplemented the sale with works of art by the top 10 artists comprising the “Soweto School of Art” group as well as selected pieces by some of the foremost contemporary up and coming talents. In addition to the fine art we have included a selection of antique and semi-antique West African artefacts as well as creations in the Marty G Designers label. We trust that this sale will be of interest to the fine art connoisseur as well as the entry level fine art lover. Why buy a print when you can own an original at the same price ?  Please contact us directly at frontdesk@sowetofineart.co.za for any additional information. Regards Marty G
