This fall Adams is pleased to celebrate the relaunch of the company. This event coincides with the first auction of a special private collection containing 50 carefully selected paintings and works on paper from the Dutch 19th and early 20th centuries. The sale offers a coherent overview of the most relevant art movements and genres that dominated the country in this period - from Romanticism, The Hague and Larense School to Impressionism. It includes several pieces originating from the renowned Besselaar collection and includes works by artists such as Piet Mondriaan, Isaac Israels, Floris Arntzenius, Wouterus Verschuur, Johannes Bosboom and Fredrik Marinus Kruseman. The viewing days (8 & 9 October) and live auction will take place at Looiersgracht 60 in Amsterdam. The auction presents a rare opportunity to stand - and see - eye to eye with 19th century masters and their followers.
