This auction will consist of more than 300 lots from local Bay Area Estates. This auction will feature a collection of fine photography, more than ten pencil-signed photographs by Ruth Bernhard (1905-2006). Other featured offerings include a collection of mid-century modern furniture in teak and leather, a Gibson U-Harp Guitar c. 1905-1912, a vintage Epiphone guitar c. 1946, a vintage Symphonion floor model 13 ¾” disc music box, and two Buffalo Bill Circus posters dated 1914.
Highlights in artwork include four pencil signed lithographs by Salvador Dali (1904-1989), including two artist’s proofs, a pastel portrait dated 1982 by Francisco Zuniga (1912-1998), an oil on canvas interior scene by Jules René Hervé (1887-1981), and paintings by artists including Juliet White Gross (1880-1977), Douglass Parshall (1899-1990), Dong Kingman (1911-2000), and Nikolai Lyssak (b. 1951). Additionally, there are some very fine unsigned 18th/19th century paintings to be offered.
This auction will also include a selection of Georg Jensen, English, and Sanborns sterling silver, as well as fine jewelry, with pieces featuring diamond, sapphire, amethyst, opal, jade, and other precious materials set in platinum and 14 karat or higher gold. A collection of 18th century French furniture will be offered, including a gesso barometer measuring 38 inches in length, as well as a selection of Victorian American furniture. Also featured in this auction is a selection of Native American weavings and pottery, including an Anasazi pottery bowl c. 1400s, a polychrome Acoma pot c. late 1800s, and a polychrome Santo Domingo pot c. 1939.
