David Yurman Jewelry

Since first conjuring his twisted cable designs, jeweler David Yurman has captivated a generation of jewelry fans. The iconic motif, now incorporated in everything from Yurman cuff bracelets to promise rings, is adored by jewelry collectors worldwide.

Yurman himself began designing jewelry in the 1970s as part of Putnam Art Works, a company he co-founded with Sybil Kleinrock, an artist and his future wife. The success of their designs led to the transformation of the company into the David Yurman brand by the end of that decade. It was during these early years that Yurman first introduced his unique take on the cable cuff bracelet, consisting of a twisted spiral of a cable motif culminating at either end with a capping gemstone cabochon.
