Provide potential buyers with all the security and reassurance they need when buying Fine Art.
DNA DIGITAL FINGERPRINTS
For security and insurance, the scanning process generates a unique digital fingerprint under visible, UV, and near-infrared light spectrums, which safely detail the “DNA” of the artwork: its topography, reflectance, and colorimetric properties. This documentation makes the artwork unforgeable and adds assurance – thus, value – to consigners, auction houses, and buyers.
The Automated Damage Detection Algorithm (ADDA) captures an artwork’s DNA. The scanning technology reacts to the slightest change of condition, which is otherwise invisible to the naked eye. That means ARTMYN can document a piece’s condition after transport, storage, restoration or periods of display. ADDA can automatically compare two sets of scans of the same artwork created at different times. In this way, one can detect whether it is, in fact, the same artwork and have an accurate reference for the condition of a piece to determine the extent to which artwork may have been damaged or restored.
Conditions of artworks, as well as all their specifics, can be illustrated in a standardized and interactive digital condition report – a tool developed in collaboration with restorers at the Geneva Freeports. The Digital Condition Reports (DCR) are an exciting new development for Invaluable collectors and auction houses.
ARTMYN developed these new-generation digital reports in collaboration with restorers. All the specificities of an artwork can be illustrated in a highly detailed and interactive manner using visible, UV, and near-infrared light spectrums. The Interactive Digital Condition Report offers a more unified and transparent way to approach art analysis, thus alleviating potential art buyers’ main concerns.
Protect your clients’ artworks in case of theft:
- Simplify research and comparison work
- Prove beyond a doubt that the returned work belongs to your client
Protect your clients’ artworks in case of loss, damage, or accident:
- Verify the presence of visible and indiscernible damages upfront
- Help your client manage the evolution of the artwork’s condition over time
- Prevent litigations with scientific evidence
- Access the artwork’s exact original state and condition for restoration
The scans address one of the biggest difficulties facing specialists at Invaluable’s auction house partners – transmitting photos to potential private sale buyers without them being disclosed to the broader art market. What emails do not allow, ARTMYN makes possible through its secure digital platform.
