To set up email alerts for keywords, complete the following steps:
- Type the name of the item or term you are looking for into the search box at the top of your page, then hit ENTER. This will take you to a search results page.
- Once on the search results page, click the “Follow this Keyword” button to the right of your search term. If you are not signed in to an Invaluable account, you will be prompted to sign in or create an account.
- The plus sign (+) inside the button will change to a checkmark to indicate you are now following that keyword.
To remove saved alerts, complete the following steps:
- Log in to Invaluable.
- Hover over the user icon in the upper right of the page.
- Select one of the options under the Following section: Keywords, Artists, Sellers, or Categories.
- Click Edit List and then click Remove next to the alerts you’re no longer interested in.
- Click Done to save your changes.
If you no longer wish to receive marketing emails from Invaluable, you can update your preference or unsubscribe through a link at the bottom of any marketing email you receive from Invaluable.
You may also make changes within your through your Invaluable account:
- Log in to Invaluable.
- Hover over the user icon in the upper right corner of the page.
- Click Notifications & Email Preferences.
- Uncheck any notifications you wish to stop receiving.
- Click Save My Preferences to update your account.
Invaluable offers text message alerts for bidders leaving absentee bids on a sale. Text message alerts allow bidders with absentee bids to receive text message (SMS) alerts if outbid and when the lot they bid on is coming up to auction. Mobile alerts not available on all carriers. Normal text messaging fees from your carrier may apply.
To receive text message alerts, complete the following steps:
- Log in to Invaluable
- Navigate to the desired sale and lot
- Leave an absentee bid
- When reviewing and confirming your bid, check the box next to I would like to receive text (SMS) alerts at and select the appropriate country and provide your mobile number.
- Read the auction house’s Terms & Conditions and check the box next to I have read and agree to this auction’s terms and conditions.
- Click Place Bid
If you use Invaluable’s iOS or Android mobile app, you can manage notifications in your account in the app. To do so, follow the steps below:
- Open the Invaluable app on your mobile device
- Go to Account
- Select My Notifications
- Go to Settings
- Slide the toggles on or off as desired to choose which notifications you want to receive
There are multiple, timely messages you can receive on the Invaluable mobile apps:
- I’ve been outbid: You will receive a push notification when you are outbid on an absentee bid or live bid.
- My saved item is coming up: You will receive a notification when an item you saved is either 5 lots away (live auction) or the lot is closing in 5 minutes (timed auction).
- My bid is coming up: You will receive a notification when an item you placed an absentee bid on is either 5 lots away (live auction) or the lot is closing in 5 minutes (timed auction).
- My registration status is update: You will receive a notification when your registration for an auction is approved.
- There are new marketing communications: Receive general notifications around lots and houses of interest.
- A live sale you registered for is starting soon: Receive a notification prior to a live sale you’ve registered for is starting
- A timed sale you registered for is ending soon: Receive a notification prior to when a timed sale will begin closing lots for bidding.
- Message center replies from auction houses: Receive notification when a house responds or reaches out about a particular sale or lot.
You can always see the most up-to-date options once you turn on your mobile push settings and go to the Settings tab within ‘My Notifications’ under your Account icon in the lower right corner of the app.
If you are not receiving emails from Invaluable, they might be landing in your junk or spam folder. Please visit this page for more information specific to your email provider. You should also whitelist the email domains [email protected] and [email protected] which is the sender for most of our emails and alerts.
If you are not receiving your mobile app notifications, check that you have notifications turned on. These can sometimes get turned off with phone or app updates. You can check your notification settings by going to the Settings tab within ‘My Notifications’ under your Account icon in the lower right corner of the app.
Phishing emails or SMS messages may attempt to pretend to be a legitimate company, such as Invaluable, to attempt to steal personal and/or financial information from you.
If you have received a message from Invaluable asking you for account or credit card information that seems odd or illegitimate, please forward it to [email protected].
If it’s confirmed as a phishing email, we ask that you use your email provider’s spam system, to report the email as a phishing email or junk/spam to help the service know it’s not legitimate. We also recommend blocking the sender.
