Swords

Swords are some of the earliest arms used by organized militaries. The sword is a bladed weapon designed to slash and stab. Some of the earliest and oldest swords were found in Aslantepe, Turkey, and date back to 3100 B.C. Metal swords evolved over time and were used in every major culture.

Swords range in size, weight, shape, and style depending on the culture in which they were used. The wide variety of swords makes them a collector’s favorite. Sword collectors may be looking for items in a certain culture, like Ancient Greek weaponry, or collecting the category in general.
